Dear Edmonton Riverbend. Since I’ve been elected, I have always taken the proactive step to donate every mandated pay raise to charities in Edmonton. This year, since my announcement to resign, I will continue this effort and will be donating my salary I received since November 6, 2025 – the day I announced my decision – to a number of local charities in the community.

Although I have made the decision to resign, my commitment to supporting local charities in Edmonton that are tirelessly working to assist those in need remains unwavering. Many of these charities have been doing incredible work under exceptional circumstances.

Canada still has much work ahead of us to get our economy back on track. Although I won’t be there with them, it is my sincere hope that my colleagues on Parliament Hill will continue their dedication to serving Canadians and addressing the needs of those who require our support the most.
