UPDATE: End Of the Fall Session

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ottawa, ON – Matt Jeneroux, Member of Parliament for Edmonton Riverbend, released the following statement on the end of the fall session:

“Once again, it has been a busy session that started with the Conservative Party electing Pierre Poilievre as the new leader. It was also at the beginning of this session that I was appointed as Shadow Minister for Supply Chains and rejoined the Health committee. This gave an opportunity to focus on key health issues facing our community such as the shortage of children’s medicine across the country.

“We have seen an influx of troubling Bills introduced by the government including: more censorship of the internet, banning hunting rifles, and the tripling of taxes on heat, food, and gas- a direct hit on Canadians during this difficult time. That is why Conservatives will continue to introduce Bills like C-234, which aims to cut the carbon tax for farmers, ultimately helping lower food prices for consumers.

“Parliament Hill returns in January where I will continue to hold this government to account and fight to make life more affordable for Albertans. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
