The 2026 Census of Population has officially begun across Canada, and your participation is vital to ensure that our community continues to receive the resources and support it needs.

Why is the Census Important?
The data gathered from the Census will play a critical role in shaping policies and funding decisions for essential services in our region—everything from healthcare and education to transportation and childcare programs. The information will guide evidence-based decisions that help ensure resources are allocated effectively, based on the real needs of Canadians.

How You Can Participate?
If you have received a census invitation letter with a Secure Access Code, you can complete the survey online today at census.gc.ca. The online process is completely confidential and secure, in full compliance with the Statistics Act, ensuring that all data is kept private.

What You Can Do to Help?
I encourage everyone in our community to complete their census as soon as possible. The online submission is easy, fast, and secure, and should be completed by the end of May. Please also help spreading the word and encourage your neighbours, friends, and family to complete the census online.

Every individual counts, and it’s essential that no one is missed in the census process.
